Our roots
Smart Textiles Hub GmbH was founded in Dresden at the end of 2021. We are part of the Smart Textiles Holding GmbH group of companies, which also includes our sister company Born GmbH, an established flat knitting factory in Thuringia. Together we research, develop and produce in the field of Smart & Technical Textiles.
The close cooperation between Born GmbH, as a production partner, and Smart Textiles GmbH, as a dedicated development department, offers a lot of advantages. What is special here is that we can offer the holistic development and production of textiles. From conception and design, to the development of prototypes and series production - Made in Germany. Furthermore, through the transfer of knowledge between the two companies, we benefit from over 30 years of experience in flat knitting and 10 years of experience in the field of smart textiles. The know-how of our team and the proximity to the university enable us to drive innovation in the textile sector undiminished and to actively shape the state of the art in the field of Smart & Technical Textiles.
